Parent Consultation Package (Basic)

About this session

The Parent Consultation Package (Basic) includes: 1 x 55 minute assessment session 2 x 55 minute parent strategy sessions Please note that you can book the initial session online and we will plan the following two according to your needs. In our first session, we will discuss the particular problem or dilemma that you bring, as well as understanding more about your child, you as a parent, your family as a whole, and any wider context. By the end of the first session, we will have formed an initial psychological understanding of the issue; discussed ideas about what further information may be needed; and agreed one action to try before the next sessions. In the following two sessions, we will discuss strategies and recommendations to support you and your child, based on our shared psychological understanding of the issue. By the end of the three sessions, you will feel confident in implementing our action plan and understand what next steps may be. I offer Parent Consultations with a minimum of these three sessions so that we have enough time to fully understand the issue that you bring; so you have enough time to put our discussions into practice; so we can troubleshoot any road bumps you encounter; and to ensure any information or strategies are properly tailored to you and your family. Parent Consultation sessions can be continued after this initial package, either in an open-ended way, or in batches of three sessions.
